OUR INAUGURAL MEETING - Wed 15 March

Where: Friends Meeting House, Hill Street, Coventry. CV1 4AN
Date: Wed 15th Mar 2006 @ 19:30 until ( past event )
You are invited to attend the inaugural meeting of Coventry Veggies & Vegans on Wednesday 15th March 2006. If at all possible, please bring along vegan food to share, either food you have bought at the shops or something you have made yourself. This will be a great opportunity for veggies & vegans to meet, get to know each other & discuss what CVV would like to do in the future. We could potentially organise some or all of the following - regular meals out/social events, food fairs, outings, local information stalls, rambles, cookery demonstrations etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Alcoholic drinks are not allowed in the building

There will be loads of free literature to take away, including recipe booklets, nutrition leaflets, healthy living magazines & lots more. There will also be lots of cruelty-free goodies for sale including chocs, toiletries & make-up.

We would particularly like to find people that would be willing to take on some responsibility for the group. People that would like to organise social events, cook food for food fairs, update this website(or create a better site!) etc.

With your help, we hope CVV will become an active, vibrant group and a great way to meet new friends!

Vegetarian/veganism is rapidly spreading across the country, as more & more people take an interest in their health and become aware of the many benefits of adopting a plant based diet. 2-3 years ago, there were no veggie/vegan groups in the West Midlands. But now, there are active groups in Birmingham, Leamington, Redditch, Rugby, Lichfield & Wolverhampton, and the list is growing all the time!
