DIANE
SMITH, Regional Education Officer for Animal Aid, a very
experienced school speaker and co-ordinator for the voluntary school
speaker network in the West Midlands.
DAVE
NEALE, UK Director for
Animals Asia Foundation, is originally from
Bedworth. He has been to China on numerous
occasions to help with the Moon Bear Rescue programme and
document the conditions at the horrific live animal
markets. Dave has worked in ecology and animal welfare for
over 10 years and is committed to helping develop animal
welfare legislation across
Asia.
BARBARA ALFORD
Barbara was born in Coventry and became a campaigner for animals after getting involved in the protest at Coventry Airport against the export of baby calves to veal crates in Europe. She is an amateur poet and song-writer who tries to make her work reflect her concerns for animals, people and the planet.
KATE
FOWLER-REEVES, Head of
Campaigns for Animal
Aid and formerly with the Research and
Education Foundation for PETA (People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals), a very experienced
school speaker. She has written a report
and fact sheet on the links between cruelty
to animals and
people.
LIZ HUGHES of Birmingham Vegetarians and Vegans, a primary school teacher. She has a Cordon Vert Cookery Diploma from the Vegetarian Society and is in great demand catering for veggie/vegan events and giving cookery demonstrations.
MARTIN

Martin decided to
become a vegetarian 20 years ago and vegan 10
years ago. He cares passionately about
animals and the environment that we all
share. He has given several talks on
the environmental damage caused by
animal-based
agriculture.

volunteer school speaker for Animal
Aid. She also
campaigns locally for
various other animal
protection organisations,
